Reconnect with your Well-Being
About
Are you finding yourself struggling with negative thoughts and feelings about your body? We can work together to help create a life in which you feel free! I am a licensed clinical psychologist with specific training and expertise in eating disorders of all types, body image, and commonly co-occurring conditions, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. I work with patients to deliver individualized, evidence-based treatment to achieve long-lasting recovery.
Areas of Expertise
Eating Disorders
Eating disorders come at a high cost to your life, often resulting in both medical complications and limited ability to engage meaningfully in values that are important to you. I have extensive training delivering evidence-based treatment for all eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). I have worked with patients at all stages of life, from childhood through older adulthood using such modalities as cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, exposure and response prevention, motivational interviewing, and family based therapy.
Body Image
Living in a culture that teaches us to be at war with our bodies can lead to a stream of constant self-criticism and self-doubt. Using techniques from cognitive behavior therapy, exposure and response prevention, and self-compassion, you can create peace with your body.
Anxiety Disorders
Anxiety can hold you back from living the life that you want to lead. I have received training and supervision in treating a wide variety of anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, social phobia, and specific phobias. Cognitive behavior therapy, exposure and response prevention, and acceptance and commitment therapy can help you learn techniques to create a meaningful life despite anxiety.
Emotion Dysregulation
It is difficult to navigate the world when you find yourself feeling intense emotions without the skills to manage them. Working on learning the skills taught in dialectical behavior therapy can help you create your life worth living.
Trauma
Trauma can change the way we show up in and interact with the world around us, and there are effective treatments to help you move forward in life. Using Cognitive Processing Therapy, we can work together to help you recover.
